As the number of participants from various Gilmore families grow, we can see which Gilmore families are closely related in the United States, Ireland, Scotland and elsewhere.
In some cases if no match is found with other Gilmore families, they may be found with families of other surnames. If these surnames have origins in a specific locality, these matches with other surnames can be a clue to deeper origins of that particular Gilmore family.
