Project Background:

The Durrett DNA group would like to prove the migration patterns of the Durrett family that originated in France and migrated to the United States of America in the late 1600's and early 1700's. The Durrett's were French Huguenots.
Earliest records prove that they landed in Virginia. Passenger ship name's are currently unknown.

Project Goals:

The Durrett DNA Goal is to identify the main Durrett line(s) who migrated from France to Virginia, USA. We would love for anyone from any country with the Durrett Surname to assist us by participating in the DNA project. Finding a common ancestor line would be a significant break through for the Durrett Genealogy Research Group.

Project News:

2007 Holiday Promotion

It is the Holiday season and Family Tree DNA has proudly offered a discount on new Y-DNA 37, Y-DNA 25 and mtDNA Tests. Group administrators may choose any of the three gift certificates below to apply to a new kit order.

The Order must be placed and paid for between November 6, 2007 and December 31, 2007. These gift certificates are NOT redeemable for cash, with any other offers or for existing kit upgrades.

I encourage each of you to make use of these to help someone you have wanted to participate in the group. The certificates are on a first come, first serve basis.

There is a limit of two of each certificate for our Surname Project
