Project Goals
Surnames in Project: Coate, Coates, Coats, Coots, Coarts, (Variations of this name used in the original documents are Coates, Coate, Coats, Cote, Cotes, Cole, Coles, Coale, Coots, Coarts, Courts, Cotes and I'm sure others, including a German version of the name of Kotz. Sometimes the same document shows the name spelled several different ways. Also in transcribed records when compared to original records shows the name has often times been interchanged with such names as Cotts, Coots, Couts, Courts and Coast. Some documents clearly show Coats but it is transcribed as Couts.)
