Project Background: This project is in memory of Anita's grandmother, Sarah Jane Worsham, born 26 May 1871 in Attala co. MS, d 22 Aug 1952 in Ardmore, Oklahoma. NEW INFORMATION ADDED: Sarah Jane's father was William W.(Bill) Worsham b. 1852. in MS. Bill married Harriett Moore, Harriett Moore's mother was Martha Johnson from N.C. according to 1850 Census from Leak Co. MS.
The Worsham DNA Project is open to world wide males with the Worsham, Warsham, Washam, Wisham,
and other various spelling of the Surname. |
Project Goals: The objective is to use Y-DNA testing to identify the various Worsham families and to bring together those members with common ancestry due to lost of paper records or family ties that have been lost in history. Our primary goal is developing a Global Genetic Worsham Famiy Tree by jumping brick walls, locating and merging Worsham families with their Genetic Worsham families world wide.
Since Anita does not have her Worsham's DNA verified, we are willing to give the first male Worsham DNA Project member a $20 REFUND GIFT when he provides Proof to Anita with paper documentation that he is related to William W.(Bill) Worsham b. 1852. in MS who married Harriett Moore. DNA Test Results (Alleles) for Project Members * Haplogroups in green have been
confirmed by SNP testing. Haplogroups in red have
been predicted by Family Tree DNA based on unambiguous results in the
individual's personal page. This has been placed on this GAP page for your ease
and convenience. Please note that for any predicted results we see no reason for
ordering a SNP test to confirm the Haplogroup. if a – is in the HAPLO field then
we feel that the comparative results are not clear and unambiguous and if the
kit holder wants to know their SNP with 100% confidence they may consider
ordering a SNP confirmation test.
