Shively Family Y-DNA Project - Results

Exciting results have been found for one of the Shively lines in Kentucky. Seven of the DNA-12 samples have matched exactly and two of the DNA-12 samples are 1 and 2 mutations off. The seven test results that match represent the Monongalia County, WVA (VA), Jefferson County, KY, Taylor County, KY and Orange County, IN Shively lines. It was long suspected that these Shively lines were "kin" but no specific paper trails could conclude the hypothesis.
A second group of Shively's have matched DNA. Two Shively (Shiveley) lines in Adams County, OH have matched one of the Franklin County, PA lines and one in Tuscarawas Co, OH.
A third match has been made between the well established genealogy line of Christian Shively of Switzerland and a Shively line from Richland Co, OH which moved to Delaware Co, IND.
A fourth match has been made between the Franklin County, VA Shively (Shivley) lines.
