This project was initiated to determine the ancestors and related branches of Johannes Lippert of New Holland in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, first mentioned in records there as John Leber in 1756 and Johannes Lipper in 1759.

It has been further expanded to identify the interrelationships of persons bearing other surnames who share a common male ancestor within the last 2000 years and beyond.
