Background
The LEWIS Surname DNA Project was created to develop a collection of various Lewis family groups who descend from male Lewis ancestors. ALL LEWIS lines are included, regardless of variant spelling or different surnames carrying a Lewis bloodline. DNA analysis provides a tool for identifying participants who share a common male ancestor; and, when used in unison with documented Lewis pedigrees, can also aid in establishing links between Lewis groups who previously were thought to be unrelated.
Because only males carry the Y chromosome an eligible participant must be a male who descends from a biological LEWIS line.
LEWIS Surname DNA Project has 489 members!!! And is in the top 20 projects at Family Tree DNA.
http://www.LegendofLewis.com is seeking a Warner Hall Lewis descendant to be tested. Other lines may be eligible for a partial scholarship also.
