About us
This project has been founded with the stated goal of connecting Thomas Kinsey to Peter Kinsey Jr. It was originally started for y-DNA testers, but with the advent of autosomal testing and its incredible value to genealogical research, autosomal testers who are related to this family are heartily invited to join this project.
Peter Kinsey Jr was born 1760 or 1764, and died and is buried in Georgia. Family tradition says that he fought in the American Revolution, and was at the battle of Bunker Hill.
Thomas Kinsey was born January 1781 in Culpeper County, Virginia. By 1840 he had settled in Texas, after living in South Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, and Arkansas. He died in 1868 in Bell County, Texas, and today is buried in the Killeen City Cem, Texas.
