Welcome to the Keltner DNA Project. 

This Keltner DNA group project is open to all Keltners, Kelchners, Kelkners, Ketners, Keltnors, and anyone bearing any other surname variants closely resembling the surname Keltner. 

We ask that all men who wish to join the group take a 37-marker Y-DNA test on behalf of themselves, or as a proxy for female relatives.   

NOTE: As of January, 2015, we are now recommending that ALL members take Family Tree DNA's 'Family Finder' test. This test opens up matches to a greater number of people, and is especially important for women with a male Keltner line.  

Although I am not a geneticist, if I am unable to answer your genetics-specific questions, I will do my best to help find the answers.
