Background

This DNA project is to study the various Hawksley families throughout North America, the UK and Australia. As Hawksley is a fairly uncommon name, it will be interesting to see if present day modern Hawksley families connect.

My husband descends from John Goodwin Hawksley of Fredericton, New Brunswick and Mars Hill, Maine. Thus far, John's father remains a mystery, though we have his mother's name. This will be the first line tested, and we hope to have several other participants to compare.
