Welcome to the DeVault/Tevault/Tewalt/Dewalt etc DNA website!

This project began as a way of researching DeVault lines but it quickly became apparent that the surname is interconnected with other similar sounding surnames. Some may be related to my line of DeVaults but many are not. Sometimes the surname that our ancestors had prior to coming to America, became lost in translation once their language became English. For many of the project members on this project - that would mean French or German, and possibly other languages as well. This has become a project page for all these surnames to connect via the YDNA test results that project members submit. Currently we are trying to get a male Tewalt that traces back to Virginia to join the project. We do have funds for their ydna test.
