Welcome to the DeVault DNA website!
The purpose of our project is to determine which lines of DeVaults are related through Y-DNA testing (male chromosomes that are passed down unchanged from father to son). By determining who is related and who isn't, we can help determine where to focus additional research, prove or disprove oral history, solve family history mysteries, and much more. We have several lines of DeVaults (and variations of the name) we are interested in getting tested including the George Nelson DeVault line from WV/PA, the Tennessee line of DeVaults, descendants of Isaac DeVault from Hardy County West Virginia, and more. We also have a few close spellings of the name that we have been rumored to be related to - including the Tevaults found in Virginia and the Henrich Dewalt line from Pennsylvania.
