Project Background
Most of the research on the BLOOD Family comes by way of a book called "The Story of the Bloods" by Roger Dean Harris. My own search was started because of this book and a small paragraph on page # 118.
"The Bloods were especially active in the knitted textile industry in the vicinity of Philadelphia. The family there is decscended from George Blood, a native of Ruddington, England. The very same Ruddington where Robert and John Blood of New England had owned property over two hundred years before."
