-> The Viking Y-DNA Project is initiated in Stockholm in December 2004.
-> Individual members of FTDNA Surname Projects can also join the Viking Y-DNA Project in February 2005.
-> The Viking Y-DNA Project will get a proper website in September 2005.
-> In 2017, we recruited additional admins to maintain the project. The admins are specialists in different haplogroups to keep up with the complexity brought on by the expansion of the haplotree.
