A brick wall has occurred with my oldest ancestor.
Charles Rapley born Abt. 1821, England, died 29 Apr 1857, Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. Immigration possibly 1850, marriage abt 1855 in FDL, WI to Mary Jane Freeman, they had two children Charles J born 1856 and George H born 1857.
This DNA project has been set up to test male Rapleys and similar names to assist in determining place of origin and a relation ship if any.
At present a Rapley from England has joined. This latest round of tests has created more questions. Please take this as your invitation to join in on this interesting project.
The goal of this project is to help researchers on common or related Rapley families work together to find their common heritage.
