The purpose of this project is twofold:

1. To determine if everyone bearing the Mallett and variants surname descends from the Malets known to exist in Normandy, France prior to 1066.

2. To identify as many individual family groups as possible within the main family group to aid Mallett researchers who may have hit a brick wall in their research.
