About us
Five years into the life of this project, we now have several members from various countries. We have also decided to broaden the scope of this project to all with the surname"Janse..." including: Jans, Jansen, Janson, Janßen, Jansson, Jansz, Jansze, Janse van Eeden, Van Eeden, Janse van Rensburg, Jansen van Rensburg, Rensburg, Van Rensburg, Van Rens, Janse van Vuuren, Van Vuren.
We have established so far that all JANSE(N) VAN RENSBURG males tested are descendants of the same progenitor, but as expected, JANSEN males are descendants of different progenitors, who had different haplogroups. We have one member who does not have a "Jansen" surname, interestingly his "Y-DNA Genetic Distance" in only 2 from one of the "Jansen" surname members.
