The primary goals of the Hinshaw Surname Project are to:
1. Identify descendants of the Irish Hinshaws and English Henshaws (as well as descendants of ancestors with derivations of those surnames).
2. Facilitate tracing of the descendants' roots to their ancestors from Ireland and England, Scotland and Scandinavia.
3. Promote exchange of genealogy information among surname project members.
