Any male with the name GENTRY or any of its variants (or any Y-STR cousins!) is encouraged to participate in this study.

This would establish a DNA database so that genealogists and historians can begin to delineate the various GENTRY branches and discover which, if any, they fall into.

The GENTRY Surname Project is searching for one male from each proven GENTRY branch to volunteer for the Y-DNA test.

To begin with, we highly recommend the 67 or more markers yDNA test.
