We now have descendents of four early families participating in the project: Daniel Venters of Bertie Co., NC is first found there in 1760 and died there prior to 1780. Michael Fentriss is first found in Lower Norfolk Co., VA in 1671 and died in Princess Anne Co., VA in 1714. Nicholas Ventris of Cornwall, England who was born in 1750 and died in 1800.  Valentine Fentress was born in 1760 and enlisted for the Revolutionary War in Albemarle Co., VA. He died in Breckenridge Co., KY in 1835.   The results indicate that Daniel Venters, Michael Fentriss and Nicholas Ventris were closely related and therefore establishes a genetic connection not previously known from the available records. The results also indicate that Valentine Fentress and Michael Fentriss were not closely related and therefore implies that the long speculated relationship between them is incorrect.
