Please be aware that before the late 1700s any similar spelling could have had a leading H. By then the spelling was fairly well jelled. So for this project if you are considering having your DNA tested and you cannot find a group for the exact spelling of your name, please join ours. Alternately, please post your results to either (or both) of the search groups. That way anyone who does a search for matches to their DNA may be able to find you.
