The rare Y-DNA DYS19 marker value of 9 (or less) is the focus of this Project. We have searched every web-accessible Y-DNA database, including familytreedna projects (notably, E-M35), and find that only about 36 known persons have *ever* tested at this low DYS19 STR marker value. Note 1: A DYS19 STR value of 9 or less is required to join. Note 2: This project is not concerned with the duplication (DYS19a, DYS19b) phenomenon, sometimes observed at higher values, notably in G2a.
