About us

The purpose of this project is to determine possible relationships between different family lines worldwide. With the use of Y-DNA tests we hope to discover which families have a common ancestor. This includes, but is not limited to the lines listed in this project. The project was established to create a growing database of Y-DNA profiles of male descendants to aid in genealogical research. Y-DNA analysis can assist in supporting or refuting the premise that two or more participants descend from a common ancestor.

We wish:

1. To determine possibly relationships with others of the same surname, variant surname, or entirely different surname within the United States or beyond.

2. To determine if the ancestor of one, Francois Chaudoin of Virginia and of Huguenot descent, is the one and same immigrant aka Francois CHAUDRON of France, as believed by some researchers. However, this theory has never been proven.

3. To assist those not sure of their lineage to determine which of these broad groups they might fit into based upon DNA results.

4. To compare and share data and historical family information that may help others connect to their common ancestor.
