The Büchler family project attempted to find a Common ancestor for the several Büchler families of the Trencin county and surrounding area of Slovakia. Shtetls of interest ar: Slopna, Bošáca, Vág Besztercze, Mariková, Rajec, Piestany, Topolocany, Pružina. Results indicate that Büchler families that originated in Mariková, Vág Besztercze, Bošáca and Slopna do NOT have a common ancestor in the last 1500 years.
