Recruit more Abney-related males to join project with Y-DNA results. Insufficient data for further analysis. Would also be great to have members from the UK lines if any have survived to present.

Split groups by most probable lineage. All current I-M253 project members appear to have descended from Dannett Abney Sr (b1759 Leicester d1733 VA). It appears there are descendants from 4 of the 5 sons of Dannett in the current project. The goal is to split project members into descendant branches when there are sufficient project members.

Identify if there are any Abney lines in the US that aren't descended from Dannett Abney Sr. due to immigration after the colonial period.
Determine if Dannett Abney was the father of George Abney (b 1697 in VA). Debate over Dannett vs Paul as father of George hasn't been conclusively solved with evidence.
