The main Pontius families become lost about 1570 AD for those whom we know were in Germany. Some American lines are lost in the 1700's and 1800's. We hope to be able to join these lost lines to earlier ones by genetic testing. We seek to identify family members; determine areas for further research; prove or disprove current theories about the family lines; validate existing family lines and research and to try to fill in the blanks where ancestors are missing.
