About us

As of Jan 1, 2013, there are 137 members of the Morrow DNA group.  Three male members who joined have not returned their DNA kits and one join is female who could only test her mtDNA, so there are 129 members who are split into 16 different yDNA subgroups (Morrow lines of descent), with a 17th subgroup "Unassigned" for those members who did not match any of the 16 groups.
Following is a listing of the 17 subgroups and their membership:

We have debunked a number of Ray Worth's theories, come up with a new theory as to how the descendants of Alexander m. Grace Smith (a descendant of the David of Norfolk above) align; determined that several central 18th century North Carolina families are related; and a number of other interesting things. More details can be found here.

STATISTICS:
Of the 129 members who have returned test results, all of course have 12yDNA, 125 have 25yDNA markers, 93 have 37yDNA markers, 48 have 67 yDNA markers and 8 have 111 markers tested.  Eight of the 115 have opted for Family Finder.

Of the total 137 members, 15 have opted for mtDNA testing. Following are the mtDNA Haplogroups: A=1 member; H = 4 members; I = 1; J = 3; K = 2; K1a3a = 1; T = 1.
