Lykins - Likins - Likens Y-DNA Project - News

2011

2010
NOTE: We had one member (Carol) withdraw from the project, however since she is female, her mtDNA results were not showing on our project page anyway, because we only post Y-DNA results. We are hoping her brother will become a member of our project, since he has tested his Y-DNA.

March 12, 2010. Marilyn Laken has joined the project, becoming our 14th member. However, being a female, she is only able to test her mtDNA. This traces her direct maternal line. The results do not show up on our website, since our project is only for Y-DNA. We hope she can find a Laken male to take the Y-DNA test. Her Laken male line is from Lithuania.
June 25, 2010. Richard O. Likin is our 15th project member. August 8, 2010. Arthur Barr Lykins has joined our project. He is our 16th member.

Sylvanus was his child and was the one who left Virginia and ended up in Indiana. Jacob WISE was in Pendleton County, Upper Mill Creek, Virginia, now West Virgina. ALSO, NOTICE THAT IN THE N1C1 HAPLOGROUP, SEVERAL MEN HAVE ALSO TRACED THEIR LINE BACK TO Nils Andersson Laicons, AND THEY DO MATCH EACH OTHER, BUT DO NOT MATCH ANYONE IN THIS R HAPLOGROUP. FURTHER RESEARCH AND MORE Y-DNA TESTING IS NEEDED TO UNRAVEL THIS MYSTERY!
