2014-March-22 One Kowallis family member (Bart) has had a Y-DNA test done by FTDNA and has also had his Y-DNA haplogroup determined by 23andMe. Bart is from the Jacob Kowallis (Berlin, Germany) family. His Y-DNA haplogroup is I2a2a. You can see a map of haplogroups in Europe at about 100 A.D. here (scroll down a bit when you get to this forum to see the map). You can see another version of the location of I2a2 groups in Europe on the Romanian History web site.
