Austin-Austen Family DNA - Goals

Austin-Austen Family DNA Project

The goal of the AFAOA is to gather, preserve and disseminate

Austen-Austin genealogies and Austen-Austin family histories.

The DNA project is a natural outcome of this goal.

We want to profile as many documented Austen-Austin Family

lines as possible via Y-DNA37 (Y-Chromosome DNA testing

37 markers) or Y-DNA67 testing.

Some of the larger families now in our database:

Henry Austin bc. 1687 of Calvert Co., Virginia

John Austin bc. 1647 of New Haven, Connecticut

John Austin ba. 1692 of Southside Virginia

John Austin bc. 1755 Monongalia Co., Virginia

Jonah Austin b. 15?? of Taunton, Massachusetts

Joseph Austin of Dover, New Hampshire

Richard Austin bc. 1598 of Charlestown, Massachusetts

Robert Austin b. say 1635 of Kingstown, Rhode Island
