To find those with origins in or around Lanark of Whiteside along with the northern shires of England and those border areas of Scotland including the north of Ireland. Also there is interest in those whose origins are in Galicia (in north Spain- known also as "Celtic Iberia") as many there are genetically linked to those of Whiteside. (Lopez,Mendoza, Rodriguez, etc;) those of surnames other than Whiteside or the known variants (Whitsett-Whitsitt, etc;) should join the Brigantes project.
