The Tattersall Surname DNA Project is an international collaborative study involving families with origins in the Tattersall group of patronyms. Membership of the project is by invitation.

Within this Project, DNA Test Results are available for matching and comparison. The Tattersall Surname DNA Project uses Y-chromosome DNA test results with traditional genealogy to verify, document, and extend existing pedigrees and to make previously-unknown connections between families. Males with the surname Tattersall (any variant) are welcome to apply for membership.

Females and males are also needed to add Tattersall pedigrees to our Patriarchs page, assist with genealogical research on Tattersall lines, help recruit male Tattersall participants, and contribute to the Tattersall DNA Scholarship Fund.

We encourage interested parties having lineal ties to the Tattersall group of surnames to join us in the search for a greater knowledge of our ancestors and the common heritage we share. Members are encouraged to communicate with one another in order to further their knowledge through genetic genealogical research - and make it available to all.
