An aim of this project is to identify the different DNA profiles of the Families carrying the last name of Strauss (Strauß and variants) and this can only be done through the collaboration of people like yourself. If you are a member of this Clan, either by name or a DNA match to someone who is, please provide me with as much information about your direct male line descent as is possible. This would greatly assist in completing the different pieces of this exciting puzzle. 

I also possess quite a bit of information on the South African STRAUSS family descending from Georg Friedrich STRAUSS (1697-1749). He emigrated to the Cape of Good Hope (later South Africa) in 1723. If you are a member of that family, chances are I might be able to assist locating your place in the family tree, were it not yet known.
