About us

A very early tester on this site from the USA started this project about 2009 to connect the Rockbridge county, Virginia & Washington County, Tennessee & South Carolina Pring's back to county of Devonshire & Somerset England.

Since then, there has been quite a lot of testing in England and Australia, plus Sweden, Philippines and Brazil.
There is now starting to be a good database of Pring Families from and in England, USA and Australia.

A large percentage have tested with BigY700, hence the Timeline is now available for those that do not have a female Pring with an unknown male partner.

The majority on this site are descended through either Devon or Somerset and they all descend from one Haplogroup which seems to have occurred before 1066.

The majority of Prings worldwide are in Cambodia (8134 in 2023), Philippines (2566 in 2023), England (1839 in 2023) and USA (789 in 2023), Saudi Arabia (631 in 2023) and Australia (457 in 2023).
