The earliest known Orem in America was Andrew Orem who married Elenore Morris at Talbot County Maryland February 21, 1678 as recorded in the minutes of the Tred Avon Meeting of the Society of friends. Family tradition is that Andrew was from Scotland. Andrew and Elenore had the following children: Andrew, Thomas, Morris, and Eleanor.
