About us
Our objectives are:
To provide a source of general information for those with a scholarly interest in the genealogical history of the peoples of Munster, including links to other useful websites.
To provide an assembly of raw Y-DNA pertaining to the peoples of Munster.
To identify distinct ancestral haplotypes prevalent in the province of Munster (other than those already widely recognised) and their distribution across the more common Munster surnames of today (those for which we have data - from whatever source - of a significant number).
To relate the ancestral haplotypes to the ancient genealogies, annals and other historical documents, and in so doing verify or clarify the pedigrees described in the various genealogical tracts.
