The results from the first three tests (one for myself and two from two different Families of McPeters) show an identical match on all 12 markers of the Y-12DNA test. This indicates a 99.9 percent probability that all three individuals share a common ancestor somewhere back in time. We have refinedg two of those tests (one for a McPeters and one foe a McPheeters) to the 37 marker level to determine the probabilities for how recently that Most Recent Common Ancestor lived. The 37 marker tests match exactly on 35 of the 37 markers and diverge by only one step on the other two markers. This indicates a probability that the most recent common ancestor wa sabout ten generations back in time.
