One of the present goals (2017) is to identify which project members associate their Y-DNA with Lippe Detmold (direct paternal ancestor lived there, that is the father's father's father's male-only line), which associate their mtDNA with Lippe Detmold (direct maternal ancestor lived there, that is the mother's mother's mother's female-only line), and which members are connected to Lippe Detmold through any other ancestral lines. This will let us separate the Y and mtDNA results into relevant subsets in the project.
