About us

* (Jan 2017) Spurred by the unexpected matches, Malcolm has delved deeply into early American history in Virginia to help explain the result and tie the families together
* (Sep 2016) Summer saw a big influx in NGS testing (BigY) to help expand the various family lines into nearer genealogical time branches
* (Mar 2016) Officially retired the WorldFamilies.net/surnames/Hoar website for the project; now only using http://h600.org/
* (Feb 2016) After many new testers joined; officially kicked off Hord surname group within the project; also took over management of existing Hord surname project from Lynn
* (Jan 2016) Malcolm Hoare is added as an official co-administrator also; Hord line from Shady Grove is matching his ancestry
* (Nov 2015) New site h600.org is now the main site; all other sites deprecated.  Working to expand the Autosomal support now also.
* (Jan 2015) New domain H600.nnn is obtained to begin providing a more unique, supportable home for the expanding group
* (Nov 2014) Project expanded to more properly include the three main, most common (then and now) surnames full of Hoar, Hoare and Hore.  Also the Hord line found in early America.
* (Oct 2014) Worldfamilies.net website used to replace previous wiki page that had been developed by Randy over time
* (Nov 2013) Project expanded from New England families to a general surname project; Randy and Roz join Tim to help manage the project
