Our goal is to resolve the genealogical mystery as to the true ancestry of Garrett Harsin. We'll do so by testing members of the Harsin family who trace descent from Garrett, and by testing members of the Harsen family who trace descent from the Harsen family of New York. Ideally, 3 or more people from each (Harsin/Harsen) family would be compared.

If the DNA of the Harsin and Harsen test participants is the same, the matter is resolved. If the DNA does not match, we will look for other explanations. If it seems clear there is no relationship between the Harsin and Harsen families, we will seek someone from the Harrison family to do a comparison.
