About us
Almost all of the Irish origin Dowds are falling into a haplogroup associated with Niall of the Nine Hostages, brother of the traditional ancestor of O'Dubhda, Fiachra.
Results show that Henry Doude, the Great Migration immigrant to Connecticut, is not related to the Irish Dowds. With more data pouring in, the best guess is that Henry's ancestral line may have been located somewhere in a line roughly from the Jutland Peninsula to the Swiss Alps.
