John Kleeves was born in Baden, Germany around 1832. He came to the USA around 1850 and married Rachel/Regina Allf, who had been born in Prussia around 1833. Regina had a son, Joannes William Allf in 1856. He was raised by John Kleeves along with 6 other children who bore the Cleves surname.
Other relatives of the Cleves & Allf extended families have asked to join the project.  The project was expanded and all family members are welcome.  Data protection of all members is a high priority.
