About us
The goals of the Choate DNA Project are:
1. to test descendants with the surname Choate, and all variant spellings, and to help determine relationships among the various male Choate family groups;
2. to test those who suspect they descended from a male Choate on their all male line and to help determine their relationships to the Choate family groups;
3. to assist in determining relationships among those who have taken the Family Finder test that match with the Choate surname and share segments with a Choate; and
4. to identify and verify the various Choate lineages (this goal requires the cooperation of members to submit their Choate lineage and provide all source documentation and family records that substantiate their lineage for each birth, death & marriage).
