The Cullison project goals are twofold. First, we know that through Y DNa testing we can determine if the Cullisons of Baltimore County and of St. Mary's County are related.
Secondly, using the Y search methods of FamilyTreeDNa, we may be able to find a more specific location in the U.K. for the origin of the family. There is a tradition among the Ohio Cullisons that the family came from Scotland. We hope to find genetic evidence to shed light on this question, and to guide traditional researchers as to where to pick the paper trail in the U.K.
