The Y-DNA Results Colorized page allows you to evaluate members according to information they have entered about their paternal ancestry and their Y-chromosome test results. Project Members are grouped in the subgroups that you have set on the Project Management Member Subgrouping page. Within each subgroup, the Minimum (Min), Maximum (Max), and Modal (Mode) values for each STR marker is shown. Where member’s results vary from the mode, they are colorized to highlight the difference. The data columns are:

  • Kit Number: This is the project member’s kit number that was assigned with their first order. If they transferred from the National Geographic Genographic Project, their kit number was assigned when they transferred.
  • Name: (Optional) This is the name provided by the project member on the My Account – Contact Information page of their myFTDNA account.
  • Country: (Optional) This is the Paternal Country of Origin provided by the project member on the Genealogy – Earliest Known Ancestors page of their myFTDNA account.
  • Paternal Ancestor Name: (Optional) This is the Paternal Side information provided by the project member on the Genealogy – Earliest Known Ancestors page of their myFTDNA account.
  • Haplogroup: This is the project member’s Y-chromosome (Y-DNA) haplogroup.
  • STR Results: These are the results from standard Y-DNA tests.
