Welcome to the family of Francis West b. ca 1642 m. ca 1661 Susannah SOULE and lived apparently in Newport RI. FRANCIS WASTE/WEST, b. prob. ENG ca. 1642; d. after 6 Sept. 1687 (tax list) and perhaps No. Kingstown RI 2 Jan 1696. The records indicate this surname was early on pronounced Waeste. Descendants use the spelling West, and also Waste. Susannah Soule West had 7 sons: Francis, Richard, Peter, John, William, Thomas and Clement.
