The purpose of this project is to relate all family branches, to verify existing documentation and research, and to build a Voorhees DNA database. We also hope to find and connect branches of the family that may have been lost.Our immigrant ancestor was Steven Coerte Van Voorhees who arrived in Brooklyn from the Netherlands in 1660. This project is open to all male Voorhees, all spellings. Hopefully, female descendants can find a Voorhees father, brother, or cousin who can act as a DNA donor for their line.
