The purpose of the SKCGS DNA Group Project is twofold. First is to encourage DNA testing amongst our members and those of the community at large who are interested in genealogical, scientific proof of the relationship between two or more persons. The website provides you with easy access to answers to your questions either through website links or personal questions can be sent to the project administrators who can answer or find the answer for you. The second purpose of the project is to raise much needed dollars for speakers, equipment, education or other projects the society might wish to pursue. SKCGS receives 10% from the sale of each test kit which does not sound like much but we are hoping it will grow overtime. DNA testing is growing exponentially each day. A few years ago, matches were few but the database has grown to such an extent the possibility of finding a long, lost cousin or proving the relationship between two individuals is getting more and more possible.
