About us
The Seifert DNA Project is for anyone from or closely related to any family with the surname Seifert or other variations. Through genetic testing and the sharing of genealogical research, we will explore the origins of Seifert families and how they fit together.
There has been much genealogical interest in Seifert families over the years. Some Seiferts immigrated to America in the 1700s and settled in eastern Pennsylvania, as part of the "Pennsylvania Dutch" ethnic group. Other Seiferts immigrated from Germany or other European countries in the 1800s or later. Today, Seiferts are found throughout America, Europe, and beyond.
The goal of this project is to use genetic information to discover the relationships among and origins of the Seifert families of Germany, America, and around the world.
