This surname project began as a joint venture between the descendants of Peter Ruffner (who settled in VA), and Simon Rufner (who settled in PA). Both Peter and Simon came from Switzerland. Through this project we hope to determine if there is a relationship between not only our Ruffner/Rufner lines, but others.
